Gas
We inspect all of our gas appliances and pipe works, in accordance with legislation, and issue our tenants with a Landlord’s Gas Safety Record on a 10 monthly cycle. Because of this, it is extremely important that you work with us in ensuring that contractors gain access to do this necessary work.
If you smell gas or suspect a gas escape in your home – Telephone Scottish Gas Networks on 0800 111 999.
Electrics
Our houses have circuit breakers and a Residual Current Detector which will turn off the supply if a problem is detected.
Before reporting a loss of power to us, please check the following:
- Is there a power cut in the area? (check by calling 105)
- Do you have a power card meter and is there credit?
- If you know the location of your circuit breaker and it is safely accessible, turn on any switch that is in the off position
If this doesn’t resolve the problem – turn off appliances and turn them on individually to check if there is a faulty appliance (also check it isn’t a problem socket by plugging the appliance into an alternative socket)
If these steps do not identify the problem, report it to the Association on 01698 269119.
